Brass + Bronze: Both of these metals naturally obtain beautiful patina, or color change due to oxidation / air exposure, over time. If you prefer the polished "shiny" look, use a polishing cloth available at any local jewelry store.
Sterling Silver: Similarly, silver tarnishes over time and can also be cleaned with a polishing cloth or with silver cleaning solution. The more you wear the jewelry, however, the more polished it will be from contact with your skin!
Gold + Gold Fill: Pure gold is the slowest to tarnish, however the cloth method mentioned above is always a safe bet. Gold fill is pure gold bonded to a base metal and should be treated the same.
General: Store pieces separately or sealed in baggies to avoid moisture / humidity that causes tarnishing.
